What do your parents do on facebook?

After about 10 days of [almost] not sleeping and super busy moment here and there, I finally got a chance to relax a bit today. So I checked my Facebook up, and I suddenly curious with what my parents are doing in Facebook. So… Time to stalk!

One thing in common from both my mom and dad was that they aren’t really active on Facebook. They checked their Facebook almost everyday, but they didn’t post a lot. They usually just stalk me, my sisters, and their friends. I remember one day when I bring my iPad to the dinner table to let them see a photo of my sister in Malaysia, and guess what their response is : “I have seen it this afternoon!”. LOL, they are sooo up to date.

Even though they didn’t post a lot, but all their post are EPIC. I will start from my dad. He is the master of weird comments. Seriously, almost every comment his post are EPIC-ly weird, and that’s why it makes me ROFL everytime he post something on Facebook. For example, he make a comment on my sister photo saying “Mangkilek bana kaniang waang Sis!”, a Padang language, or “Your forehead is very shiny, sis!”. One day, I was in class, listening seriously (Okay, I’m lying) to my lecturer, when my father send me a message saying “Hai cowok, lagi ngapain?” which is “Hey boy, what are you doing?”. And even now, 1 year after the event, I’m still wondering what that message’s purpose is.

On the other side, my mom was this supernice-sweet lady on Facebook. Almost all of her post was a comment on someone’s status, showing support and care. For example, she send a comment on my cousin’s status, which says that my cousin miss her mom (my aunt), who passed away 2 years ago. My mom asked her to be strong, so her mom could be happy in heaven. How sweet is that is? It is sweet when your friend says it, but when someone who rarely knows technology sends you a comment like that, the sweet level is multiplied by 10, IMO.

And yeah, my mom also used Facebook to tell me and my family that she’s in Abu Dhabi, waiting for a plane that will carry her to Jerusalem. No mobile phone? Don’t worry, your mom got Facebook. 😀

Oh yeah, and do you want to know my father’s first post on my mother’s wall? It’s “Boleh juga..”, or in English, “You have Facebook? Not bad.. ” HAHA how Epic is that? I don’t know my father was that romantic LOL

So that’s about my parents’ activity on Facebook. How’s your parents doing on Facebook? Are they okay? Check it out now and tell meeeee!!!!
